Director Rian Johnson is set to film the third installment in the “Knives Out” saga, titled “Knives Out 3,” later this year, according to a report by Deadline.
Daniel Craig is expected to reprise his role as private detective Benoit Blanc. The film will be produced by T-Street Productions, and Johnson will write and direct the project, continuing the success of the previous films, “Knives Out” (2019) and “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” (2022).
The plot details of “Knives Out 3” are currently under wraps, but it is expected to follow the murder mystery genre, featuring Blanc solving a new whodunit with an ensemble cast of A-list talent.
Johnson has expressed his creative excitement for the project, emphasizing a desire to take the film in a new direction tonally and thematically compared to its predecessors.
The last installment, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” received critical acclaim and a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 95th Academy Awards. The success of the franchise has elevated expectations for the upcoming sequel, set to bring another captivating mystery to audiences.
