Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, has been honored with the Coach of the Month award for December in recognition of his outstanding performance in the Ghana Premier League.
Ogum faced stiff competition from Nurudeen Amadu of Samartex 1996 and Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin of Legon Cities but emerged victorious, thanks to Asante Kotoko’s impressive unbeaten run in December.
Under Ogum’s guidance, Asante Kotoko secured four victories and one draw during the month, showcasing a formidable record. The team scored seven goals while conceding only two in five games, marking a commendable display on the field.
The former WAFA coach played a pivotal role in steering Asante Kotoko away from their lackluster start to the season, finishing the first half of the campaign in 3rd position with 29 points. The team’s resurgence in December demonstrated Ogum’s tactical prowess and leadership.
As the Ghana Premier League is currently on a break, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum’s accolade adds a positive note to Asante Kotoko’s journey, with fans eagerly anticipating the team’s continued success when the league resumes next month.
