Maggie Rogers is set to make her return on April 12 with her highly anticipated new album titled “Don’t Forget Me,” released under Capitol Records. Leading the album is the title track, accompanied by a captivating music video.
Rogers penned her latest album over the course of five days in December 2022 and January 2023. Teaming up with co-producer Ian Fitchuk at New York’s Electric Lady Studios, she poured her creativity into this follow-up to her acclaimed “Surrender” album. Notably, Fitchuk also collaborated with Kacey Musgraves on her newly announced album, “Deeper Well,” recorded at the same studio.
The mixing of “Don’t Forget Me” was expertly handled by Shawn Everett, while the mastering was entrusted to long-time collaborator Emily Lazar. Rogers shared insights into the collaborative process, highlighting Fitchuk’s instrumental role in the production.
“Eight of the ten songs were written with my sole collaborator and teammate on this album, Ian Fitchuk,” Rogers revealed. “The other two songs I uncovered on my own and were the product of my long friendship with Lee Foster, the Electric Lady manager.”
Reflecting on her collaboration with Fitchuk, Rogers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a talented musician and friend. The album is a testament to their creative synergy and marks the beginning of an exciting journey.
The announcement of “Don’t Forget Me” comes with great anticipation from Rogers’ fans, eager to experience her latest musical offering.
