A former church minister has shared her journey away from Christianity, revealing the two things she misses despite no longer practicing the faith.
The Kano-born woman, who goes by @thatbirkinbad on TikTok, explained that although she no longer identifies with Christianity as a religion, there are aspects of her past beliefs that she still reflects on.
She recounted how her return to Nigeria initially strengthened her faith under the influence of her pastor.
However, over time, she embarked on a personal spiritual journey that led her to step away from Christianity.
According to her, she was deeply committed to studying the Bible, having read it twice and was in the process of reading it for a third time when she lost her faith.
She described the shift as a turning point in her spiritual life, making it impossible for her to continue.
Despite leaving the faith, she admitted that she misses the image of the “Christian God” she once believed in, a figure she initially saw as a strict and fearsome judge but later came to view as a loving father.
Additionally, she longs for the experience of ministering to people, a role she cherished during her time as a devout Christian.
Her revelations have sparked discussions online, with many sharing their thoughts on personal faith, spiritual transitions, and the impact of religious upbringing.
