The case, which involves both Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), centers on allegations that Shatta Wale failed to provide credible documentation proving lawful ownership of the luxury vehicle. EOCO confirmed in an official statement that the artiste could not produce valid records linking him to the car’s acquisition.

Speaking on Citi FM, Sosu acknowledged his admiration for Shatta Wale but stressed that legal matters of this nature are not to be taken lightly. He pointed out that the involvement of the FBI, coupled with Ghana’s bilateral agreements on crime, means the stakes are higher than many realize. According to the MP, trivializing such investigations could not only jeopardize the artiste’s freedom but also send a dangerous message to young fans who look up to him.
