As the Asante Kingdom prepares for the burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the Manhyia Palace has issued a directive restricting drone activity around the ceremonial grounds.

Only drone operators with official accreditation stickers will be permitted to fly near the event. These stickers will serve as visual clearance for security personnel to identify approved devices.

Despite this allowance, all drones are strictly banned from flying in and around the Queen Mother’s Palace itself. The Palace has warned that any drone violating this restriction will be shot down without exception.

The measure is part of a broader effort to safeguard the privacy, dignity, and security of the four-day ceremony, which begins on September 15 and concludes on September 18.
