Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Prophet Ajagurajah and founder of the Ajagurajah Movement, has sparked controversy with his recent statements about the limitations of Christian teachings and the true life of Jesus Christ.
In a bold declaration, he criticized Christians for their reluctance to explore knowledge beyond what is taught by their Sunday school teachers and pastors.
“The problem with Ghanaians is that they are limited to one kind of knowledge, they don’t want to learn. What their Sunday School Teacher, Pastor taught them, that is all. Nothing goes in again,” Prophet Ajagurajah stated.
Prophet Ajagurajah argued against the widely accepted belief that Jesus died on the cross, asserting instead that Jesus lived to the age of 120 and even got married.
“Jesus as I know was switched when he was about to die. They took him to India. Why is it that there is no record of him from age 12 to 30? Jesus went to India, he went to the mountain… He went to India to learn healing powers,” he claimed.
He further elaborated that this knowledge is not embraced by Christians because it is not found in the Bible.
“When I say these things, Ghanaians argue that it is not in the Bible, so it is not true. But some sins which are not explicitly stated in the Bible are considered sins by the same Christians,” he pointed out.
Prophet Ajagurajah challenged Christians to question the teachings they have received and to seek broader understanding.
“So people are limited to one kind of knowledge and when you say it, people are like it is not in the Bible. But when you go and stake a bet, your pastor will say it is a sin. Give a quotation that says lotto is a sin. Lottery, there is no quotation in there, so if you think I said this and I need to give you biblical proof, then you are stupid because it is not everything that is morally right that is in the Bible,” he argued.
