In a heated legal confrontation, Nigerian socialite Bobrisky has filed a massive N1 billion lawsuit against popular online personality VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The lawsuit seeks not only financial compensation but also a public apology from VDM, following a series of allegations that have fueled a tense feud between the two.
The conflict stems from VDM’s claims that Bobrisky had never been imprisoned and that he had allegedly bribed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to avoid legal trouble.
These accusations have been strongly denied by Bobrisky, who insists that the audio recordings circulated by VDM are falsified.
Taking the feud from the virtual space to the courtroom, Bobrisky’s legal team is calling for the defamatory claims to cease immediately.
The lawsuit points out that VDM’s allegations, which also include claims about Bobrisky’s alleged involvement with high-ranking officials such as Deputy Inspectors General of the Nigerian Police Force, lawmakers, and politicians, are entirely unsubstantiated.
The suit aims to address both the defamatory content and the allegedly fabricated audio recordings that VDM shared online.
As the legal battle intensifies, Bobrisky’s demand for N1 billion in damages signals the seriousness of the accusations and the impact they’ve had on his public image.
The resolution of this case could potentially set a precedent for how online feuds involving public figures are handled in the future.
