Albert Amoah has officially started training with Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi, beginning a new chapter in his career just days after completing his transfer from Asante Kotoko.

The 23-year-old striker, who scored 16 goals in 30 appearances during a standout season with the Porcupine Warriors, joined the Libyan giants on October 24, 2025. His impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League established him as one of the league’s most potent attackers.

Images released by Al Ahly Benghazi show Amoah actively participating in intense training sessions, demonstrating focus and determination as he adapts to his new team and environment. The club’s technical staff reportedly have high expectations for him ahead of his debut.

Amoah’s transfer announcement came immediately after Kotoko’s 6-1 aggregate loss in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, which sparked disappointment among some fans who viewed the timing as poorly judged. Despite the controversy surrounding his departure, Amoah appears intent on making a strong impact in Libya.

With his combination of speed, composure, and goal-scoring ability, Amoah aims to replicate his prolific form from Ghana and justify the confidence shown in him by Al Ahly Benghazi.
