Otumfuo Osei Tutu II received the Ghana Immigration Ladies Association (IMMILAC) at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday during the Awukudae festival observation.
The purpose of the visit by the female immigration officers’ club was not only to announce their existence to the King but to pay homage.
It was also an opportunity to extend its felicitations to His Majesty on his Silver jubilee on the Golden Stool.
IMMILAC, formed in December 2009, comprises all female officers of the GIS irrespective of rank to help raise the standard of discipline and professionalism among female officers.
The objective of the association is to unite members; nurture individual talents through mentorship; create a forum for sharing practical experience for the discussion of matters relating to the welfare of members; as well as encourage, promote and enhance productivity.
Among the leadership of the group was Anita Asomani Konadu, the Public Relations Officer (PRO).
This was during a mini durbar to celebrate the second Awukudae Festival of the year at the Manhyia Palace on February 12, 2025.
Also joining the durbar were the Nandom Traditional Council, Ghana School of Law, the Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Management and Staff of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF), Warrior King Watches CEO, Nananom-New York, Ghana Immigration Ladies Association and others.
