Controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, found himself in a tight spot as he is currently detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex located in Alagbon, Lagos State.
This detention follows an incident where he spent the night in custody after being apprehended by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Seme border while attempting to exit the country.
A reliable source revealed that there is a wait for further directives relating to Bobrisky’s case. The shift to the FCID for his confinement was deemed necessary for his safekeeping after the initial arrest by the immigration authorities at the border.
Detailing the sequence of events, the source disclosed that Bobrisky was taken into custody on Monday and has since been held at the FCID in Alagbon. Initially apprehended on Sunday, he was transferred to this facility on Monday night. He currently remains at the FCID.
Affirming Okuneye’s detention, the FCID spokesperson for Lagos, Mayegun Aminat, conveyed during a discussion with the correspondent on Tuesday that Bobrisky’s custody is being managed at the FCID Alagbon with preparations to obtain a remand for his continued detention.
Earlier statements from the NIS spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, emphasized the interception of Bobrisky at the Seme border based on concerns of public interest.
The NIS assured the public of their professional approach regarding the ongoing interrogation processes concerning Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, popular as Bobrisky, and pledged to facilitate his handover to the appropriate authorities for further legal actions in alignment with border security protocols and regulations.
“Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 p.m. on Monday. Immigration arrested him at Seme Boarder and brought him for safekeeping.
“He is in detention at the FCID, Alagbon. He was arrested on Sunday, detained overnight, and taken to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 pm on Monday. He is still at the FCID.”
