Prominent media personality Bridget Otoo has publicly condemned Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, in the wake of a tragic car accident that claimed the life of a three-year-old boy. This is in response to a statement issued by the actor.
In a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter), Otoo called for the immediate arrest of the actor.
“This is a very foolish statement from a halfwit who is as idiotic as the character they display on screen,” Otoo wrote. “This clown even went to the premiere of his movie. @GhPoliceService do your job and arrest this clown who thinks he’s acting when a life of a boy has been cut short and a family is grieving a loss they would never recover from!”
The accident, which occurred last Saturday in Amakom, Kumasi, resulted in the death of young Emmanuel Richard Ampomah. The child’s father, who was driving at the time, is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Otoo’s vehement criticism comes in response to reports and a press release from Lil Win’s publicist, which suggested that the accident was caused by the child’s father’s overspeeding.
Eyewitnesses, however, have contradicted this narrative, claiming that Lil Win was the one overspeeding and driving in the wrong lane.
The public reaction has been mixed, with some supporting Otoo’s call for accountability, while others await the outcome of the ongoing police investigation.
Wezzy Empire, Lil Win’s management, expressed their condolences to the bereaved family and gratitude to the medical staff attending to those injured. They also emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to establish the facts.
The Ghana Police Service has yet to make an official statement regarding the incident or the calls for Lil Win’s arrest. As the investigation continues, the public remains divided, with many closely monitoring developments in this tragic case.
