A Nigerian man has taken to social media in distress after his car was broken into and valuables stolen—right in front of a police station in Abuja. The shocking incident reportedly occurred directly outside the Zone 7 Police Station.
According to a post shared by @ChuksEricE on X (formerly Twitter), the car owner returned to find the vehicle’s window smashed and key items missing. Among the stolen belongings were a laptop and a bag containing crucial landed property documents.
A video shared with the post captured the victim at the scene, visibly shaken by the audacity of the crime given the proximity to law enforcement. He expressed disbelief that such a brazen act could occur with no police response, despite the vehicle being parked directly in front of their station.
What made the incident even more alarming was the content of the stolen bag—documents reportedly tied to valuable real estate holdings. The victim appealed to the general public, especially residents of Abuja, to assist in locating the missing bag if found discarded somewhere.
The incident has triggered online discussions, with many users voicing concerns about the state of public security—even in supposedly well-guarded areas like police stations. Some questioned the effectiveness of law enforcement while others expressed sympathy for the victim’s plight.
