Ghanaian filmmaker Socrate Safo is calling for the arrest of Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the founder and presiding Archbishop of the Action Chapel International Ministry.
This comes after Duncan-Williams publicly admitted to being involved in armed robbery before his religious conversion.
Safo’s demand for Duncan-Williams’ arrest follows the recent arrest of Nana Poku Piesie, a radio presenter who confessed to engaging in sexual activities with a minor.
Safo argues that if Piesie can be arrested for his past actions, then Duncan-Williams should also face consequences for his admitted criminal past.
“Duncan-Williams has publicly confessed to armed robbery, and it’s only fair that he faces the consequences of his actions,” Safo said in an interview.
“If we’re going to apply the law to one person, we must apply it to all, regardless of their status or position.”
He added that almost everyone has held him say that he engaged in armed robbery before he accepted Christ and became a christian.
Safo’s comments have sparked a heated debate about accountability and the rule of law. While some agree with Safo’s stance, others argue that Duncan-Williams’ past mistakes should not define his current character.
What do you think? Should Duncan-Williams face arrest for his past crimes, or has he done enough to make amends? Share your thoughts
