Family Shattered as Husband and Two Brothers Kidnapped in Broad Daylight

Panic has gripped residents of Ughelli in Delta State following the broad daylight abduction of three men—identified as a husband and his two brothers—by suspected kidnappers around 11 a.m.

The incident came to light through a social media post by a woman claiming the victims were relatives of her close friend. According to her, the perpetrators later released the youngest among the captives and sent him back home with a chilling message: a ransom of ₦32 million must be paid for the remaining two or they may never return.

The woman further alleged that the attackers were Fulani herdsmen, pointing to the increasingly worrying pattern of such incidents in the area. The post quickly gained traction online, sparking outrage and deep concern across social media platforms.

The incident has once again raised alarms about the growing insecurity across parts of southern Nigeria, where kidnappings, once more associated with night-time ambushes, are now occurring in broad daylight.
