Former Ghanaian international footballer, Derek Boateng, has expressed confidence that he would have recovered his money from Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1), the alleged mastermind behind the Menzgold scam.
In a recent interview, Boateng stated that if he had invested in Menzgold, he would have taken drastic measures to retrieve his funds.
He emphasized that he would have been a “thorn in the flesh” of NAM1, constantly demanding his money back.
Boateng’s confidence stems from his assertive nature and his experience dealing with businesspeople.
He believes that his persistence and determination would have paid off, and he would have eventually recovered his investment.
He also indicated that NAM1 is his neighbour hence he would have always disturbed him emphasizing that he would have been a thorn in his flesh.
While Boateng did not invest in Menzgold, his statement highlights his proactive approach to financial matters. He emphasized the importance of being vigilant and taking action when dealing with investment opportunities.
Boateng’s comments also suggest that he would have held NAM1 accountable for his actions, which could have potentially prevented the scam from affecting so many people.
Boateng’s approach serves as a lesson for others to be proactive and vigilant in their financial dealings.
A fraudulent gold dealership and investment company, Menzgold Ghana Limited offered its clients monthly returns on investment averages of between 7 and 10 percent.
