Media personality Chude Jideonwo has shared his personal journey regarding marriage, revealing how his perspectives have drastically shifted over time.
In a candid interview, Chude opened up about how, during his 20s, he felt an intense pressure to get married.
At that time, he believed that having a wife would provide the solution to the loneliness he was experiencing. Despite his career successes, he felt incomplete and thought marriage could fill that void.
However, Chude has since come to realize that his longing for a wife was rooted in loneliness, not a true desire for partnership. Over the years, his viewpoint has evolved, and he now feels no need or urgency to marry.
He also addressed the societal pressures he faces, with many pushing him to settle down and have children, especially now that he is financially stable.
Chude admitted that these constant reminders about marriage and family sometimes lead to feelings of shame as he is frequently criticized for not meeting those conventional expectations.
Despite these pressures, Chude’s journey reflects a deepening understanding of himself and what truly brings him fulfillment, beyond the societal expectations tied to marriage and parenthood.
