A dramatic scandal has rocked Nakuru in Kenya after a woman working at a public utility company was reportedly caught in a hotel room with her managing director—an incident that has now led to the collapse of her marriage.
Elizabeth Mueni, a customer care officer at Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company Limited (Nawassco), was discovered with her boss, Managing Director James Ng’ang’a, in a hotel room at night. The shocking confrontation occurred after her husband, Duncan Mwangi, received a tip and stormed into the hotel.
The fallout was immediate. The marriage between Mueni and Mwangi has since ended in divorce following the betrayal.
However, Mueni has responded with her own accusations, claiming she suffered repeated physical and emotional abuse throughout the marriage. She alleged that despite filing multiple complaints at various police stations, no serious action was ever taken to protect her.
One particularly violent incident, she claimed, occurred in March of this year when Mwangi reportedly assaulted her, yanking her hair so forcefully that one side of her head was left bald. She documented this assault at Mwariki Police Station.
Mueni also accused her estranged husband of attacking her father back in 2019, raising further concerns about his behavior. She alleged that Mwangi once physically assaulted her father during a family dispute.
Adding to her defense, Mueni further claimed that Mwangi himself was unfaithful, stating that she has evidence in the form of photographs showing his involvement in extramarital affairs.
What began as a marital breakdown has now spiraled into a web of accusations involving infidelity, domestic violence, and betrayal—drawing public attention and stirring debate over accountability in relationships and within public institutions.
