Rev. Owusu Bempah, the prominent and controversial pastor known for his fiery sermons and close affiliations with high-ranking political figures, has emphatically responded to Chairman Wontumi’s vexing threats, asserting that he would subject him to his pinnacle of smoothness should he ever venture into Kumasi.
This confrontation stemmed from the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Party Chairman’s retort following the man of God’s incrimination of the party in his infamous past arrest ordeal.
In a recent address to his congregation, the outspoken clergyman disclosed distressing particulars of his run-in with law enforcement and expressed disillusionment with President Akufo-Addo for allegedly disregarding his version of events.
Rev. Owusu Bempah further maintained that his life had been jeopardized under the direct directives of IGP Dampare, painting a picture of intimidation and perceived victimization.
Chairman Wontumi, in countering the allegations, adamantly refuted any NPP involvement in the pastor’s arrest episode.
Furthermore, he claimed that Dr. Bawumia had visited Rev. Owusu Bempah seeking blessings, recounting an incident where the man of God proclaimed the NPP’s vice-presidential candidate as the future leader of the Republic after their meeting.
However, Rev. Owusu Bempah swiftly rebuffed these claims, asserting that Dr. Bawumia had never sought any form of blessing from him at his residence.
Addressing his congregation, the pastor boldly declared his resilience, emphasizing his roots in Bantama and daring Wontumi, indicating that his visit to Kumasi would not pose any threat to him.
