A Nigerian woman, Ngozi, has stirred up a storm of debate after suggesting that if a couple struggles with infertility, the wife should allow another man to get her pregnant.
In a bold Facebook post, she shared her thoughts on how to address infertility issues within a marriage, especially if the problem lies with the husband.
Ngozi stated that if she and her husband were unable to have children after 10 years of marriage, she would consider marrying another woman for her husband or support him in marrying another woman to solve the issue.
However, if the infertility was caused by her husband, she would suggest the idea of getting pregnant by another man.
She passionately wrote, “If the fault is from my husband, I will suggest getting pregnant by one mgbada, or everybody go find their way!” She continued, emphasizing that she couldn’t bear the thought of adopting a child when it was possible for one of them to biologically have their own.
Ngozi also made it clear that this opinion came after IVF and surrogacy options had failed.
She argued that if someone truly loves their partner, they would want to give them what they cannot biologically provide, even if that meant going to another person.
The controversial post has sparked significant debate, with some agreeing with her views on sacrificing for a spouse, while others have criticized the idea as unconventional and morally questionable.
Despite the backlash, Ngozi stood by her opinion, making it clear that she was unafraid to speak her mind.
