Osofo Ajagurajah has emphasized that no one should speak against the Asantehene. He stated that it shall not be well with anyone who speaks against him because he is considered a god.
Ajagurajah highlighted that the Asantehene is regarded as a god, similar to how God said He had made Moses a god before Pharaoh. He referenced Bible quotations such as Ecclesiastes 10:20 and Exodus 11:1 to support his argument.
He explained the importance of respecting kings, stating that there are two people one cannot speak against: a king and a rich man. He described Otumfuo as both a rich man and a king, emphasizing that no one should pass judgment against him. He advised Ghanaians to be humble and refrain from cursing or passing judgment against any rich man or king.
“Don’t curse a rich man or a king; Otumfuo is both rich and a king. If you speak against him, it won’t be well with you. When you meet a rich man and he asks how you are doing, say it is not well. If I meet Otumfuo and he asks how I am doing, I will say I am not well. Don’t ever say you are fine to a rich man.”
He asserted that while a rich man or a king can judge a poor man, the reverse is not true.
