Kwame A-Plus Backs Mahama’s Nkokɔ Kitikiti Initiative

Published:

Kwame A-Plus has expressed his full support for former President John Dramani Mahama’s comments regarding key national issues, specifically defending the recently announced Nkoko Kitikiti project.

According to A-Plus, Mahama’s statements should not be viewed as mere grievances, but as valid concerns reflecting long-standing issues faced by both past administrations and the general public.

A-Plus highlighted the discontent of Ghanaians as a crucial factor behind the previous government’s electoral defeat, asserting that Mahama’s remarks were an honest reflection of persistent national challenges.

Among the initiatives Mahama discussed, A-Plus singled out Nkoko Kitikiti, a poultry farming project that aims to address Ghana’s significant reliance on poultry imports.

Ghana currently imports about $300 million worth of poultry each year, with local production falling far short of meeting national demand. The Nkoko Kitikiti initiative seeks to address this gap by involving districts across the country in poultry farming, with the goal of significantly increasing local production.

The project is designed to engage 100 districts, providing poultry to 5,000 households per district. A-Plus believes that if executed properly, the initiative could not only reduce the country’s reliance on imports but also stimulate job creation and encourage the youth to pursue careers in agriculture.

Despite some skepticism regarding the project’s potential, A-Plus remains optimistic about its ability to transform the poultry sector and make Ghana more self-sufficient in poultry production.

He believes that if the project reaches its full potential, it could boost the economy, improve food security, and reduce the burden of imports.

The support from A-Plus has garnered positive reactions from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which backs the project as a step toward sustainable agricultural development and economic independence for the country.
