A young Nigerian man has sparked online buzz after sharing how a prophecy led him to marry a much older Caucasian woman—and how the public continues to mistake him for Afropop star Fireboy.
In a recent interview, the man disclosed that a prophet once told him he would end up marrying a white woman, a prediction he took seriously because of his strong Christian faith. Though initially skeptical—especially given the age gap between him and the woman—he eventually embraced the message as divine guidance.
The pair officially tied the knot on October 16, 2024. Reflecting on their unconventional union, the man admitted that he never imagined himself dating, let alone marrying, someone much older. However, he insists that he was merely following God’s will as revealed by the prophet.
Despite the couple’s happiness, their relationship has drawn criticism and ridicule. The man revealed that online trolls often mock him, suggesting he’s married to his “grandmother” or merely a “toyboy.” He also shared that his striking resemblance to singer Fireboy has led to confusion, with some people assuming he’s the music star.
Reactions online were mixed, with some calling the prophecy a cover story for ulterior motives like securing a visa, while others were simply stunned by the couple’s bond.
The man, however, seems unfazed by the negativity, choosing instead to focus on his love story—which he believes was orchestrated from above.
