Man Shares Heart-Wrenching Struggle with Infertility at 34

A young Nigerian man has opened up about the emotional torment he’s going through after receiving devastating news about his fertility. At just 33 years old, and with his 34th birthday approaching on October 1, the man says his dreams of fathering children may have been shattered.

In a message shared anonymously with Agba John Doe, a well-known mental health and relationship adviser on X (formerly Twitter), the man revealed that a recent medical test confirmed his sperm cells are completely nonviable. This unexpected result has left him battling depression, confusion, and a sense of hopelessness about his future.

He explained that while he’s always loved children and hoped to have a family of his own, the test results now suggest that dream may never come true. Beyond his personal grief, he also expressed fear about societal and familial expectations, especially as pressure mounts for him to settle down and start a family.

“Each time I think about it, I break down. What excuse do I give when my parents or relatives start asking about marriage and children?” he shared in the message. “I cry whenever that result comes to mind. It’s killing me.”

Despite the crushing blow, the man remains desperate for answers and hope. He ended his message with a plea, asking whether there’s any possible solution to his situation and hoping it’s not the end of the road.
