Tension is rising in Delta State following reports that a man was allegedly kidnapped just minutes after stepping out to purchase fufu for his evening meal.
A viral video making the rounds on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) shows a visibly disturbed man recounting how the victim had gone out at night to get food. After successfully purchasing fufu, he was said to have been abducted on his way back home.
“Last night, a man walked out of his house to go and buy fufu… after buying it and on his way back home, he was kidnapped,” the narrator revealed.
The unsettling report has triggered a wave of concern online, with many Nigerians using the comment section to vent their frustration over the worsening security situation in the country.
Some commenters pointed fingers at the government’s failure to support local vigilante groups, while others criticized the Nigerian police for allegedly releasing criminals and stifling community efforts to enforce justice.
The story has quickly gone viral, reigniting public debate over safety and the breakdown of trust between citizens and the nation’s security agencies.
