Hackim Assi, widely known as Demzy, is carving a prominent niche in the Ghanaian entertainment industry with his diverse talents and extensive experience.
Born on April 2, 1994, in Koforidua, Demzy has evolved from a seasoned entertainment pundit to a key player in talent management and production.
Currently, Demzy serves as the road manager for the rising Afrobeats star Olivetheboy. His role extends beyond this position, as he is a founding member of FulLCircl Management, a media hub and talent management firm dedicated to nurturing and promoting musical talent.
Demzy’s career began as an entertainment pundit and producer, where he made his mark as a regular commentator on the Showbiz Today show on Nopras FM from 2018 to 2022.
He later transitioned to Bryt FM, where he continued his role as a pundit and judge on the National Rap Show. His insights and contributions to the entertainment sector have been widely recognized.
In 2020, Demzy played a crucial role behind the scenes of the popular online entertainment show on UK-based Lens Radio.
His experience extends to working as an academy member and production manager for both the Eastern Music and 3Music Awards. At 3Music TV, he contributed as a producer, program assistant, and A&R, showcasing his commitment to music production and promotion.
Demzy’s involvement in the Wildaland Festival as a coordinator and assistant project manager in 2021, and as a backstage manager for its 2023 edition, further highlights his organizational skills and dedication to the industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, Demzy has demonstrated a strong commitment to social impact. In 2018, he collaborated with the We Care Foundation to organize a street outreach initiative in Accra, providing meals and support to over 500 homeless children.
Additionally, in 2021, he worked with tourism journalist Jonilar to support the Aboatia Community School in Juapon, donating over 500 exercise books and other learning materials to enhance the educational experience of the students.
Demzy, the eldest of six siblings, was born to Mr. Rockson Assi and Mrs. Amela Yawa. He began his education at Kute Roman Catholic School and continued at Adonteng Senior High in Akim Kukurantumi, completing his studies in 2013. In a personal milestone, Demzy married Mrs. Benedicta Assi Kwade on March 17, 2023, after meeting through the social media platform Clubhouse in 2020.
