Nigeria Will Never Accept Me as Female – Bobrisky Speaks After Relocating to UK

Published:

Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser Bobrisky has opened up about his decision to relocate to the UK, stating that Nigeria’s legal system would never recognize him as a woman.

In a video shared online, Bobrisky expressed frustration over how he was treated by Nigerian politicians and celebrities, particularly during his recent troubles with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to him, many of the public figures he once considered friends turned their backs on him when he needed them the most.

Reflecting on his move to the UK, Bobrisky emphasized that unlike Nigeria, where he feels restricted, he is respected in his new environment.

He pointed out that in Nigeria, no matter how long he lived, he would never be able to have “female” legally recognized on his passport or driver’s license.

“If I lived in Nigeria for 100 years, they would never put ‘female’ on my documents. But here, I am respected for who I am,” he said.

His statement has reignited discussions on gender identity and acceptance in Nigeria, where laws and societal norms remain largely conservative.

While Bobrisky has always been a polarizing figure, his latest comments have once again sparked debate about LGBTQ+ rights and gender recognition in the country.
