A deeply disturbing case of abuse has surfaced involving a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly tortured by her school’s principal and several teachers after being accused of stealing ₦30,000.
The girl, who also serves as a domestic worker, was reportedly accused by her employer of taking the missing cash. Rather than involving proper authorities, the employer is said to have taken the issue directly to the girl’s school.
Reports from @PH_Socials on social media indicate that upon hearing the allegation, the school principal—alongside a group of teachers—resorted to physically punishing the child using a hot pressing iron. The punishment left her with severe burns, particularly on her hand.
A video accompanying the online report shows the visibly injured teen holding her burned hand, the damage believed to be a result of the heated iron pressed against her skin.
The incident has triggered public outrage, with many calling for swift legal action against those responsible. Online users are demanding accountability from the school authorities and justice for the victim, sparking a wider conversation about the treatment of children, especially domestic workers, in institutional settings.
