A Nigerian man has shared a shocking discovery about his stolen car, which was taken in 2015 and later found being used by the police as a patrol vehicle.
The man, from Warri in Delta State, recounts the ordeal that began when he parked his car outside a church for a service in 2015. Upon returning from the program, he was devastated to find that his car was gone.
He immediately reported the theft to the police, who requested the vehicle’s papers, but no progress was made.
Then, two years later, in 2017, he was stunned to spot his missing car being used by police officers as a patrol vehicle.
In his post on X (formerly Twitter), the man shared his frustration, writing, “I’m a citizen of Nigeria, I live in Warri, Delta State. The picture in my hand is of my car. I went to a church program in 2015, and when the program ended, I came out to find that my car was gone.”
He continued, “I searched for it but couldn’t find it, so I reported the theft to the police. Two years later, in 2017, I saw the same car with the police officers, who had converted it into a patrol vehicle.”
The man’s post has sparked a flood of reactions, with many expressing disbelief and anger over the situation. The man has shared a video detailing his experience and is now seeking justice for the theft and misuse of his vehicle by law enforcement.
