Entertainment expert Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng has raised alarm over ongoing conflicts affecting the funeral arrangements of late Ghanaian highlife icon Daddy Lumba. She suggested that disagreements among family members and other stakeholders appear to be intentionally slowing down preparations.
Speaking on United Showbiz on November 9, 2025, Boateng noted that while several individuals and organizations are willing to assist, the internal tension has discouraged support, creating confusion and weakening public trust.
She emphasized that the lack of unity and transparency among those managing Lumba’s affairs is overshadowing his legacy, urging all parties to prioritize giving him a dignified farewell. Boateng stressed the importance of respecting both the court and the Manhyia Palace in resolving the ongoing disputes.
