A concerned lady has issued a stern warning to Africans planning to travel abroad, urging them to prepare thoroughly and secure accommodation before making the move. She emphasized that life abroad is vastly different from Africa and can be extremely challenging.
Speaking from experience, she cautioned potential travelers against burdening those already living abroad with their stress.
The lady acknowledged that some Africans abroad can be unfriendly towards new arrivals, but emphasized the importance of personal responsibility and preparation.
Her message serves as a wake-up call for those dreaming of life abroad, reminding them to prioritize planning and self-sufficiency to ensure a successful transition.
Below are her words:
“You’re traveling abroad, you don’t have a place to stay, and you’re still coming. Whose house do you think you want to come and live in? I know I’m the same person who said that some Africans abroad are very wicked towards those who travel outside, but I’m also saying that prepare yourself before you come. Why do you disturb people when you come here? Trust me, things here are difficult. It’s not the same as in Africa. So, if you’re coming, prepare yourself, at least have one month to three months’ rent before you come into the country. If you’ve lived with somebody for a week or month, then start preparing your bag and leave, so you stop putting stress on people who are here. You can’t come and stress anybody here. We’re all stressed.”
