A woman has shared a disappointing experience of meeting a man she fell in love with online, only to be put off by his body odour and hygiene issues. Despite traveling across town to meet him, she was left feeling disappointed and frustrated.
According to her, when she arrived, he hugged her, and she noticed a strong body odour, which she initially dismissed, thinking it was due to his travel to meet her too. However, when he kissed her, she was hit with a pungent smell, like he had eaten garlic, and things only got worse when they went to bed.
According to her, had not even shaved, and his body odour was overwhelming and she couldn’t believe that someone she had connected with so deeply online could have such poor hygiene.
Social media users have reacted to her story, emphasizing the importance of personal hygiene and communication in relationships.
“This thing called body odour, young ladies and young guys need to work on their bodies. It’s a turn off for some people,” said one user.
Another user shared a similar experience, saying, “I once had an experience where I never got an erection the whole time we were together. I needed to find a way to leave her alone.”
Some users emphasized that traits like body odour, unshaved private parts, and poor oral hygiene are adjustable and can be addressed through open communication.
“If you want to be with someone, these things are things you can draw their attention to and help them treat. But if they’re a kleptomaniac or disrespectful, then cool, keep it to yourself,” said one user.
Others encouraged the woman to take action to change the situation, saying, “You can work on him. Do something to change the situation. That makes you a unique one.”
