In a spectacular display of tradition, Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II made a grand entrance at the durbar grounds to honor the visit of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. A procession of traditional drummers and dancers, dressed in vibrant regalia, preceded the Ga Mantse’s car as he arrived at the Ga Mantse Palace on June 9, 2024.
The occasion was a grand durbar hosted by Ga Mantse to celebrate the visit of Asantehene, which aimed to strengthen the bond between the Asante and Ga communities. Asantehene delivered a heartfelt address, emphasizing the importance of unity and donated GHC500,000 to the Ga Education Fund.
The event brought together a distinguished list of guests, including traditional leaders, ministers, security personnel, CEOs, and business leaders. The durbar was a momentous occasion that celebrated the rich cultural heritage and unity of the Asante and Ga nations.
The grand entrance of Ga Mantse, captured on social media, showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Ga people, while the event itself demonstrated the strong bond between the two nations. The visit and durbar have been hailed as a significant step towards strengthening the relationship between the Asante and Ga communities.
It would be recalled that the Asantehene invited the Ga Mantse to his 25th Anniversary which he honoured.
