A Nigerian woman, Marvellous Emeka, recently shared a dramatic experience where she rejected a man’s marriage proposal due to his living situation, which led to a shocking curse.
Emeka explained in a Facebook post that although the man seemed perfect in many ways, she couldn’t marry him because he lived with his family in a house on the 6th floor of a six-story building in a location she found less than ideal.
She stated that even though he checked all the boxes for an ideal partner, his lack of independence in terms of housing was a dealbreaker for her.
She calmly explained her reasons for rejecting the proposal, stating that the man lived in the family house with no foreseeable chance of moving out.
She also pointed out that the building was located in Awada, a place she wasn’t comfortable with.
She mentioned that, despite the polite way she turned him down, the man was also a customer of hers, making the situation more awkward.
Unfortunately, her polite rejection did not sit well with the man. In response, he allegedly cursed her, further complicating the emotional fallout from her decision.
“So this dude I know asked me to marry him. I told him that even if he ticks all the boxes for the perfect man for marriage, I cannot marry him because he lives in his family house with no hope of leaving to get his own house in the near future, the family house is inside inside Awada, on the 6th floor of a 6 storey building,” she narrated in a Facebook post at the weekend.
