Frank Edoho, a renowned Nigerian media personality, has sparked a conversation about why many women aren’t fond of men who are overly nice.
The discussion took place during a recent episode of the popular TV talk show, The Black Table, where Edoho shared his thoughts on a topic that has intrigued him.
Edoho explained that, contrary to popular belief, women often find themselves more attracted to men who are “bad boys” with occasional moments of kindness. He pointed out that women tend to admire qualities in men that exude strength or authority, rather than consistent sweetness or softness.
He shared an experience where he came across a blog article asking women about the “red flags” they find appealing in a partner.
The responses seemed to support his theory. One woman, for example, expressed that she liked it when her man said, “I don’t want to repeat myself again,” stating that it turned her on. Others mentioned that they found it appealing when their man displayed dominance in a mild way.
Edoho noted that many women seem drawn to men who show a level of power, even if it’s not aggressive or overbearing.
He clarified, however, that not all women share this preference, but the trend was evident in the answers he reviewed. His takeaway? That most women gravitate toward men who, while sometimes tough or firm, can also be kind when it suits the moment.
The revelation has sparked much discussion, as many people debate whether “bad boys” truly have an advantage in relationships. Some have agreed with Edoho, while others defend the value of being genuinely nice in relationships, regardless of gender.
