A woman identified only as Josephine has opened up about her long-running relationship with a much older partner, saying it began when she was still a child and has left her feeling disappointed. She made the revelations during an appearance on Lawson Afisem, a programme hosted by Maame Frimpomaa Korankye, popularly known as MFK.
According to Josephine, her current partner, now aged 66, first expressed romantic interest in her when she was just seven years old. At that age, she said, she had no real understanding of love or relationships. Over time, the two became involved, and she has now spent roughly ten years as his partner.
However, Josephine claims that the life she expected never materialised. She alleges that the man has not delivered on commitments he made to her during the course of their relationship. In addition, she stated that whenever she visits him at his lottery kiosk, he insists on sexual contact before she departs.
Her comments have drawn attention not only because of the age gap but also because of the circumstances under which the relationship began. The story has sparked broader conversations about exploitation, consent, and the power imbalance in relationships that start at such a young age.
