Ten illegal miners have been confirmed dead following a mine cave-in at Manso Tontokrom in the Ashanti Region.
Thirty others are in critical condition after the collapse.
An undisclosed number of miners are still believed to be trapped beneath the rubble as rescue efforts continue.
The injured have been admitted to the Hwidiem Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are yet to provide further details on the cause of the collapse or the total number of miners involved.
