Two people have died after a Toyota Corolla with registration number GS 2455-25 and a Sprinter bus with registration number WR 316-24 crashed at Abakam on the Cape Coast–Takoradi Highway.
The accident in the early hours on December 23, 2025, also left 12 injured.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), four victims were admitted to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Hospital, where two succumbed to their injuries.
Meanwhile, it reported that 10 others were rushed to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Investigations into the accident have since commenced.
“Both vehicles sustained some serious damage, renewing concerns about early-morning road safety on the Cape Coast–Takoradi Highway.”
