THE 2026 Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana (IBAG) Annual Conference & Exhibition which seeks to build resilience within Ghana’s insurance industry in an evolving socio-political environment, has been scheduled for March 24 to 28 this year at the Rock City Hotel in Kwahu, Eastern Region.
The four-day event on the theme: “Building Resilience in a Socio-Political Environment,” will bring together regulators, brokers and industry leaders to examine emerging challenges and opportunities in the insurance industry.
A release issued by the association said the conference will officially open on March 25, with the National Insurance Commissioner, Abiba Zakariah, chairing the ceremony, while the Minister of Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson, will deliver the keynote address as Special Guest of Honour.
It said the President of IBAG, Stephen Kwarteng Yeboah, will deliver the welcome address, while the Ghana Insurers Association and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana will present goodwill messages.
According to the release, the programme will feature business sessions, technical presentations and panel discussions aimed at strengthening resilience within the insurance industry.
“A key presentation will be delivered by Chijioke Nwafor, with contributions from industry experts, including Bernard Ohemeng. On the second day, participants will engage in high-level discussions with prominent personalities, including Sam Jonah.
“There will also be a session with representatives from the Office of the Special Prosecutor, led by Sammy Darko. Participants will further take part in a session on workplace well-being, to be led by Ebo Whyte, focusing on stress management and its impact on professional and personal relationships,” the release said.
It added that the final day of the conference will feature community outreach activities, sports and a closing dinner and awards ceremony, after which delegates were expected to depart on March 28.
The conference remains a flagship event within Ghana’s insurance industry, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking and policy dialogue aimed at strengthening the sector.
