5 persons perished in a tragic accident on the Cape Coast–Takoradi highway
Five people have been confirmed dead following a head-on collision between a Toyota Hiace bus and a DAF truck at Ayensudo Meyinda on the Cape Coast–Takoradi highway.
The fatal accident occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

According to multiple reports circulating online, five other passengers sustained serious injuries and are receiving medical attention.
Confirming the incident in a post on X on Saturday, December 20, 2025, Rusty Sun Compass stated, “Five persons lost their lives in a fatal road traffic accident on Saturday, 20th December 2025, at Ayensudo Meyinda on the Cape Coast–Takoradi highway.”
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly to the scene, deploying a rescue team from the Komenda Fire Station to support emergency operations.

Firefighters successfully extricated the bodies of the five deceased passengers who were trapped inside the Toyota Hiace bus.
