Sammy Flex, the manager of dancehall star Shatta Wale, has finally spoken out regarding his artist’s absence from the RNQ40 event, addressing widespread rumours that have been circulating in the music industry.
Following the event, speculation emerged that Shatta Wale was deliberately excluded from the lineup due to the presence of his longtime rival, Stonebwoy.
Some fans and industry insiders claimed that organisers avoided booking both artistes on the same stage to prevent any potential clashes.
However, Sammy Flex has strongly refuted these claims, dismissing them as false narratives being pushed to create unnecessary division. In a video message, he stated that there was no agreement or directive preventing Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy from performing at the same event.
He accused Stonebwoy’s team of intentionally spreading these rumours to manipulate event organisers into believing that the two artistes could not coexist professionally.
According to him, this tactic is aimed at discouraging promoters from considering both musicians for major shows.
The manager insisted that Shatta Wale’s absence had nothing to do with Stonebwoy and urged fans to disregard such misleading reports.
He maintained that Shatta Wale is always open to performing anywhere and with anyone, as long as the business aspect is right.
Sammy Flex further called on event organisers and industry players to stop entertaining baseless claims that fuel division within the music industry.
He stressed that Shatta Wale remains one of Ghana’s biggest musical exports and that his performance bookings are based purely on professional decisions, not industry politics.
With this statement, the manager hopes to put an end to the speculation and shift the focus back to the growth of the music industry rather than unnecessary controversies.
