Following a battle with liver disease, Kwabena Kwakye Kabobo, better known by his stage name K. K. Kabobo, passed away, leaving the Ghanaian music industry in sadness.
For a while, there had been worries about K. K. Kabobo’s health because of rumors that he was receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC) for liver disease problems.
On Thursday, March 14, 2024, the legendary “Onyame Ehu Wu” hitmaker sadly passed away from the sickness despite efforts to manage it.
During an appearance on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem program, fellow Highlife artist Kaakyire Kwame Appiah revealed the news of his passing.
Due to the considerable attention that his battle with liver illness had received, a number of well-wishers and prominent members of the media sent money to help cover K. K. Kabobo’s medical costs. The seasoned musician eventually gave in to the effects of his illness despite his best efforts.
K. K. Kabobo was a groundbreaking Highlife performer and cultural icon, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of music lovers throughout Ghana as they commemorate and grieve his passing.
