The Manhyia Palace in Kumasi witnessed an intense security presence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, as Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II launched a crucial mediation process aimed at resolving the deep-rooted conflict in Bawku.

Military and police personnel were stationed heavily around the palace, ensuring maximum protection for the high-profile event.

This intervention comes at a time when Bawku remains gripped by long-standing tensions stemming from violent clashes and unresolved chieftaincy disputes.
