Diana Asamoah Blames Adom Kyei’s ‘Miracle Sobolo’ for Sister’s Tragic Death

Ghanaian gospel sensation Diana Asamoah has revealed the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding her sister’s death, blaming it on her decision to replace prescribed medication with a religiously endorsed herbal drink.

The veteran musician, known for her deep Christian convictions, shared that her sister—who had been managing diabetes for nearly two decades—suddenly abandoned her regular treatment after being introduced to a so-called “miracle sobolo” blessed by Prophet Adom Kyei Duah. The drink, made from hibiscus, has become a favored spiritual remedy among followers of the prophet, who believe in its divine healing power.

Despite ongoing medical treatment and medications routinely sent from abroad by her husband, Asamoah’s sister reportedly discarded her prescribed drugs. She opted instead for the religious beverage, fully convinced of its curative potential due to its spiritual endorsement.

Sadly, her health rapidly declined, and she passed away on December 6, a tragedy Asamoah attributes directly to the change in treatment.

The gospel artiste, while expressing sorrow and disappointment, clarified that her concerns were not born out of personal animosity toward the prophet himself, but rather stem from the danger she believes his teachings present when they cause individuals to reject proven medical care.

Her emotional revelation has reignited debates around the influence of spiritual leaders and the rise of alternative “miracle” cures that replace scientific medicine—sometimes with fatal consequences.
