Serwaa Bronii, who gained public attention over her alleged romantic involvement with former president Akufo Addo, has expressed deep concerns about returning to Ghana. Her remarks, shared during a recent interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii, have reignited interest in the controversial exposé that once dominated headlines.
According to her, ever since she went public with claims about her past connection with the former president, she has not made any trips back to Ghana. She believes returning could put her at risk, not necessarily from the former president himself, but from his loyal followers or relatives who might feel compelled to act in his defense.
In addition to her own fears, she said her mother consistently advises against making the journey back home, out of concern for her safety. Serwaa Bronii stressed that in Ghana’s current climate, speaking out against powerful figures could attract retaliation, even if indirectly. Her apprehension remains strong, as she continues to stay away from the country for what she describes as her own protection.
