Outspoken Ghanaian journalist King Asubonteng, known widely in the media space as King Asu B, has publicly taken actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin to task for what he describes as childish behavior in the wake of Daddy Lumba’s sudden death.
During a recent episode of The Rash Hour, where the panel delved into reactions following the highlife legend’s passing, King Asu B didn’t hold back. Although he initially came across Lilwin’s comments through news articles, it wasn’t until he watched the full video that he expressed deep disappointment.
According to the journalist, Lilwin’s conduct was completely out of line and fell far below what is expected of a public figure reacting to the death of such a celebrated musician. King Asu B minced no words, saying he never imagined the actor would make such reckless statements at such a sensitive time.
He stressed that Lilwin’s approach lacked maturity and thoughtfulness, especially given Daddy Lumba’s stature in Ghanaian music history. The journalist maintained that someone in Lilwin’s position ought to have demonstrated more restraint and respect, calling the actor’s actions both inappropriate and juvenile.
