Nana Agradaa Now Preaching in Nsawam Prison

Despite her 15-year prison sentence, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah—popularly known as Nana Agradaa and now calling herself Evangelist Mama Pat—has reportedly embraced her new life behind bars by continuing her religious work at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.

The former spiritualist, who gained notoriety for running a so-called “money-doubling” scheme through her televised church services, was sentenced on July 3, 2025, by an Accra Circuit Court. She was convicted on two counts of defrauding by false pretences and an additional charge of charlatanic advertisement.

During the trial, evidence revealed that she had convinced congregants to part with large sums of money at her Heaven Way Church, after promising miraculous financial multiplication through divine intervention. These promises, however, never materialized, leading to widespread outrage and multiple legal actions.

Now imprisoned, Agradaa has reportedly started a new chapter—this time, ministering to fellow inmates. Her husband, Angel Asiamah, shared during a church service on August 3, 2025, that she has become a spiritual leader within the prison, hosting prayer sessions and preaching to a growing number of inmates.

According to Asiamah, his wife has not abandoned her faith or mission despite the circumstances. Instead, she has transformed her confinement into a new form of evangelism, inspiring others in her environment through teachings and fellowship.
