Secrets Behind Lumba’s Journey to Stardom in Germany

Secrets Behind Lumba’s Journey to Stardom in Germany

The family of the late Theresah Abebrese has come forward with explosive allegations about the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, claiming he abandoned the very woman who helped shape his music career. Their revelations come just days after the artist passed away on July 26, 2025.

In a viral video that’s quickly gaining traction online, relatives of Theresah allege that she was instrumental in helping Lumba take his first major step in the music industry—his relocation to Germany. According to them, Theresah not only gave him emotional support but also provided the financial assistance needed for the journey.

However, they claim that once Lumba arrived in Germany and began establishing himself, he distanced himself from Theresah and later married Akosua Serwaa, leaving her behind. The family expressed their disappointment, insisting that he failed to acknowledge her sacrifices, both publicly and privately.

In urging Ghanaians to uncover the truth, they suggested comparing timelines—specifically, the year Lumba married Akosua Serwaa and when Theresah eventually married someone else—as a way to understand the betrayal they say she suffered.

Adding credibility to the family’s claims is a separate account from Mama Acheampong, widely known as Daddy Lumba’s godmother. In a radio interview, she backed the family’s story, stating that Theresah’s father was the one who paid for Lumba’s travel costs to Germany, including giving him spending money for the journey.
