A deadly street race in Saapade, Ogun State, Nigeria has ended in heartbreak, claiming the lives of three students from Gateway Polytechnic and two innocent bystanders. The fatal crash occurred after the young drivers reportedly placed a high-stakes bet of ?30,000 (roughly GHS 200) to see who could outpace the others.
According to eyewitness reports, the students were racing near the busy garage area when they lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and smashed directly into a roadside shop, instantly killing two unsuspecting pedestrians who were nearby. Tragically, all three students inside the car also perished at the scene, leaving the community in shock.
