Ara-B Cuts Ties with Shatta Movement, Goes Fully Independent

On August 13, 2025, the dancehall star — born Rashad Sfarijlani — confirmed in a statement that he is no longer part of Shatta Wale’s Shatta Movement.

The announcement, signed by Osumania Records (O.S.M), made clear that the parting was amicable, marking a sharp contrast to an earlier split that had been clouded by tension. Ara-B also clarified that he is not signed to, or represented by, any other record label at present.

From now on, the “Drip” crooner will work entirely on his own terms. He stated that he will have complete authority over his music, image, live performances, and business decisions.

Ara-B also used the opportunity to let industry players know he’s open for bookings, brand deals, collaborations, tours, endorsements, and media appearances.

While no further details were shared about what prompted the move, the tone of the release pointed toward a fresh chapter built on independence and new opportunities.
